This is one of the most ornate, baroque churches in Lithuania built in 1630-1655. Particularly gorgeous, highly valuable main facade in early Baroque style is finished with imported facing materials - sandstone and black marble, which were used very abundantly. The interior of the church, dating from the second half of the 18th century, is profusely decorated with mural paintings; altars and pulpit are Rococo in style. In accordance with the strictest monastery regulations, there is only a blind dome over the presbytery. The Monastery of the Discalced Carmelites arranged in almost square form was built in the first half of the 17th century near the church.
