THE INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION “ALYTUS – 2003”

Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, Alytus City Municipality, Alytus County Governor’s Administration and Euroregion “Nemunas” Marijampole Branch kindly invite companies and organizations of Lithuania and other countries to participate in THE INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION “ALYTUS – 2003” that will take place in Alytus Sport Hall on 6-8^th of June, 2003.

GOALS OF EXHIBITION

• To foster initiatives and activity of citizens, communities, companies and organisations.
• To expand sales and export of production made by Lithuanian companies.
• To activate local and international co-operation between the small and medium sized enterprises.
• To present the strategy of Alytus regional development in the context of integration into EU, displaying economic, recreational and cultural potential and investment possibilities.
• To stimulate an attraction of investment, to increase a competition between productions, to develop the conception of an international market.
• To introduce industry, business and services of the companies from Euroregion “Nemunas”.
• To develop cross border co-operation.

• Companies and organizations of Byelorussian Republic neighboring regions.

• Companies and organizations of twinning cities (regions) from Denmark, Latvia, Norway, Sweden, Russia, Ukraine and other countries.

INTENDED THEMES OF SEMINARS DURING EXHIBITION

• Presentation of strategic development plan of Alytus region, the most perspective area for investment.
• Renewed general plan of Alytus City, Alytus – favorable medium to start and to develop business.
• Integration of Lithuanian companies into Europe Union, perspectives for future.
• Readiness of Alytus region to use the EU support.
• Possibilities of business stimulation for cooperation and investment between countries of Euroregion “Nemunas”.
• Possibilities and perspectives of business development between the companies of Alytus region and their foreign partners.
• Programs for supporting business development.

Companies and persons interested in regional cooperation development are invited to participate in the exhibition with new technology, decisions and products.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN THE EXHIBITION

1. Organisers

Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts,

Alytus City Municipality,

Alytus County Governor’s Administration,

Euroregion “Nemunas” Marijampole Branch.

2. Dates and open hours

June 6^th, 12.00 a.m. – 7.00 p.m.

June 7^th, 10.00 a.m. – 7.00 p.m.

June 8^th, 10.00 a.m. – 3.00 p.m.

3. Dates and time for stand setting up and dismantling

Setting up: June 5^th from 9.00 a.m.

Dismantling: June 8^th, 4.00 p.m. – 11.00 p.m.

5. Prices

· Stand rental charge:

Completely equipped stand on the ground floor- 100 LTL/ sq.m;

Empty space on the ground floor is 80 LTL/ sq.m;

Completely equipped stand on the first floor - 80 LTL/sq.m;

Empty space on the first floor - 50 LTL/sq.m;

Outdoors empty space - 20 LTL/sq.m.

· Registration fee is 100 Lt. Record in the catalog, participants accreditation, common advertisement, events during the exhibition and reception are included.

Prices are given without 18% VAT.

(1 EUR = 3,4528 LTL).

Deadline of the payment is 10 May,.2003.

6. Main services

· Minimum size of equipped stand is 4 sq.m

· Minimum empty stand area is 2 sq.m

· Outdoors uncovered space is unlimited.

The area is rented for whole exhibition time.

· Standard stand (OCTONORM constructions) consists of:

- stand walls of 2,5 m high;

- 2 spotlights , 100 W (every 3 sq.m.);

- 1 table and 2 chairs;

- floor covering;

- trim panel with the company name (not more than 12 letters);

- waste bin

· Common promotion of the event;

· Communication with journalists;

· Cleaning of the walkways;

· General lighting;

· Security from 7 p.m. till 10 a.m.

The Organizer provides place for the exhibition space taking in consideration the subject of the exposition.

7. Participants registration, cards and invitations

The exhibitor upon the arrival to the exhibition has to register himself at the information stand. Registration and further services are provided only to these exhibitors who paid the participation fee in advance. The exhibitor is given a participant’s card and detailed information on determined order and the services to be provided. During the exhibition as well as during the periods of stands setting up and dismantling the exhibitor is entitled to enter the exhibition area presenting the participant’s card.

8. Exhibition catalogue entry

Record in exhibition catalogue is obligatory for each participant (not more than 8 lines in Lithuanian, English and Russian).

The participant can order an advertisement additionally.

For additional and coordinated with the organiser advertisement in catalogue the participant has to pay the organiser not later than 15 May, 2003 according to the invoice of Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts.

9. Additional services

Additional stand equipment (furniture, refrigerator, electricity power lines, cleaners etc), translating/ interpreting service are provided for extra payment. All this stuff and services should be ordered in advance specifying it in the additional services list.

2 days before the opening of the exhibition fee for additional equipment and services will be increased by 50%.

Subject: The International Exhibition “Alytus-2003”

Dear Sirs,

Every day members of community face the necessity of local and international relations development and strengthening. The experience of institutions in different countries shows that the most valuable and long lasting relations are established by a direct contact, i.e. meetings and personal communication. The previuos exhibition is as a proof of it; during the exhibition business people and inhabitants of the region were communing actively. Lately regional cooperation between countries and regions has become increasingly important. Regions of Lithuania and other countries are looking for different ways to strengthen economic and cultural collaboration that is of mutual benefit.

To strengthen the cooperation THE INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION “ALYTUS – 2003” will take place on 6-8^th of June, 2003. The companies of Alytus and neighboring regions, Euroregion Nemunas and other countries will display a wide range of their products, services and technology during the exhibition. This year the exhibition will take place in Alytus city during the celebration of 750^th anniversary of Lithuanian State and Dainava Land. It is a great opportunity to set up new business contacts and make an acquaintance with achievements and future plans of Dainava Land.
