Burns and other long–healed wounds

Laser radiation activates the recovery process at all stages of the wound healing.

A complex method of wound treatment is applied: anti-inflammatory, anesthetic, general restorative and local treatment combined with laser therapy. After 2 – 3 laser therapy procedures, pain in the wound area disappears, exudation, swelling, skin reddening decrease, epithelization of the wound sides becomes more rapid, healing time decreases. Wounds, even large ones, recover 10 – 12 days earlier than in the case of conventional healing methods alone.

Indications: Burned, tropical, thrombophlebitic, traumatic, surgical injuries.

Contraindications: Suspected skin cancer, ulcer bleeding.

Methodics: When the burned area is large or necrosis is deep (II B0 – III0), at intoxication of the organism, or when the healing is long lasting, the following technique is recommended:

  1. Transcutaneous blood irradiation for 10 – 15 min every second day. The course of treatment is 5 – 6 procedures.
  2. The surface of the wound cleaned from suppurative and necrotic matter washed by physiological or other disinfecting solution is irradiated using the deflecting lens No. 4 by labile technique distantly through two layers of sterilized gauze. The process starts from healthy tissues around the wound, then proceeding to the wound sides and the wound itself. If a skin area is burned or injured, the principle of “laser shower” is used, irradiating 1 cm2 for 1 s. The total irradiation time up to 5 min.
  • Parameters: A – 1 - 3 W, F – 500 - 2000 Hz, M – 8 - 100 Hz.
  • Recommended acupuncture points and methodics:

    (Acu-points for AGNIS L01)

GI4, GI11, R8, RP10, P7, E36, V40. Irradiation by the conical lens (No. 1), by suppression technique. The lens is pressed until a “comfortable” pain appears. The parameter values are maximal. Exposure time per point is 30 s – 1 min.

To activate the recovery process, the wound is irradiated through the rounded lens without pain and pressure. Use mean values for all parameters. Exposure time for each point is 5 min.

Course of the treatment is 10 – 15 procedures (5 times a week).
